At Juniper Micro School we believe that our individual differences and unique talents make us a stronger community. The values of diversity and inclusivity are present in everyday life at Juniper as well as explicitly explored in the classroom.

For example, K-2 students are challenged to think critically about messages sent from the media about gender roles. In each classroom, students explore topics such as skin color, religion, and the many different ways to be a family in a safe and supportive environment.

School wide gatherings, morning and closing meetings, collaborative projects, and daily conflict resolution reinforce our commitment to diversity and deepen students’ social emotional growth.
